Reserved; Palestar comes off as reserved because the one few cats who do know things about the brute seem to end up leaving him behind eventually. The brute remains reserved as he is also very silent when his past his brought to light, he is also the last feline to bring up past experiences unless it is direly needed.
Serious; The brute remains serious at all times, he never lets down his shield because his personal life means little compared to the safety of his clanmates and their own personal lives, the brute often refuses to listen to jokes when something deadly important is going on behind the scenes. The serious barrier he holds upon his maw is also something he uses when he finds himself in awkward positions, it's as if he brings up a wall to protect himself from being affected.
Fatherly; Palestar is incredibly similar to a father because he was once a father himself, but before this trait developed and he had kits of his own, Palestar had at one point disliked kits and saw them as quite useless and boring. The brute changed his mind once he had a mate and kits to cherish as his own, he developed the fatherly trait at a young age as a young warrior and even after his late kits he still has the trait and aims it towards apprentices and kits. The brute shows upmost care and treats kits delicately as well as apprentices. Palestar even visits the nursery to watch the kits to give the queens some resting time and a break.
Aggressive Partially; The brute has an aggressive outlook towards rogue and loners, he has a strong distaste for the loners and cats not of the clans. Palestar will not show his aggressive attitude fired at loners and rogues. Palestar can be aggressive but not fully towards patrols from rival clans if they break the warrior code and cross into his clan's territory.
Protective; The brute is very protective and will fight to the death if something endangers his loved ones, the tom cat prefers fighting when it is needed but knows when it doesn't need to be implied. Palestar is fiercely protective of his most dearly loved ones, even mentioning them in a bad way can cause him to have a distaste for certain cats if they mention them in such a manner.
Cunning; Palestar does not pride himself on intelligence but on his ability to outwit some cats from rival clans, he uses his cunning ability to twist words easily. The brute doesn't play cunning word games with his clanmates but when at gatherings he finds his trait or talent very useful to keep his clan's weaknesses secret from his rival clan leaders or just simply stretching the truth without lying.
Trustworthy; Palestar remains trustworthy even if you look past his cunning side the brute holds a trusting demeanor within his clan. If you get the brute to promise something in public or if the cat he is promising to is important to him he will uphold his word and do whatever he promised. The tom has always been trustworthy even if a loner had been able to bind him to a promise then it won't be long before he does what needed to be done.

Palestar us a creamy tan colored tom cat with black ticked tabby patterns, his fur has a lighter side around his chest and stomach area which is a lighter cream texture that he inherited from his mother Honeyglare. The brute has black fading like stripes along his legs and partial bits on his face with ashen black smudges across his back and tip of his bobbed tail. The tom cat has sleek and soft fur that shows off his large form, his legs are long which can give him a lanky appearance from afar but on closer inspection he has muscles and a lean appearance to his shape. Palestar as two major scars that always bring attention to himself, one scar traces from his upper eye and goes down the same side of his maw to end at his lower jaw or chin. The second old scar is over his other eye the right one, and it doesn't go as far as his left scar. His ears are not bushy but are ripped from battles he had fought within his 58 moons of experience. The brute has a bobbed tail which was created when a fox had been roaming the territory, but it is obvious by appearance that there was once an entire tail there but it seems to have been bitten off at one point to be turned into a stub. Palestar has amber, nearly bright yellow, hues that have specks of golden flakes in his eyes. The brute was once told they were mesmerizing almost as if he had some power to make those around him to stare into his eyes, but now most can't even look into his rough and blank eyes.

Palestar started out as Palekit and was born to a queen named Honeyglare, alongside him were two other she-cats named Foxkit and Jaggedkit at the time. Owlflight was the tom cat who had sired Palekit and his two sisters but was rarely around as he worked hard as a clan warrior. Honeyglare was a simple mother and very awkward around Palekit at the time, Foxkit and Jaggedkit got the most attention because the queen related to the she-kits than the tom she was raising. Palekit didn't mind because he got a lot of attention from another but much older queen which adored him endlessly. Palekit also got along with that queens litter of four, two toms and then two she-kits, eventually Palekit got to know them all as Littlekit, Flowerkit, Harekit, and lastly Silverkit. Together those four kits helped shape his personality into a goofy tom who loved to play jokes and take nothing seriously, the opposite of his wise and hard working father.
Once Palekit was named Palepaw and became an apprentice he left behind his nursery friends and moved forward to make friends with an older tom named Stormpaw. The two toms often caused mischief while apprentices, they were always together making others around them laugh until Stormpaw was named a warrior and called Stormheart, the toms never spoke to one another no matter how often Palepaw tried. As life moved forward Palepaw kept joking around but got incredibly distant with his kin, Foxpaw and Jaggedpaw had their own friends and weren't around like Palepaw thought they would be. Palepaw didn't give up and found out the four kits from the nursery were going to become apprentices, once they did he tried to rekindle the relationship and made quick friends with Littlepaw and Harekit quickly, soon the older apprentice was giving the two younger ones lessons to help them both excel. Littlepaw was learning the most from Palepaw but seemed to learn too much because on a patrol one moon the two of them were in a confrontation with a rival clan when Littlepaw took a swipe at Palepaw on accident. Palepaw had been surprised by the blow that the other rival cat they had been fighting took an opening and worsened the wound and created another one on his other eye. That battle created the two famous scars he is known for, Littlepaw seemed to be sorry and eventually made things awkward around Palepaw.
Before long Palepaw became Palethorn as he seemed to be a thorn in other cats' sides from rival clans in some fights and that he showed an aggressive attitude towards rival clans. Palethorn allowed Littlepaw's mistake slide past him, he kept his care free emotions wild and open towards every other clan member as well. Palethorn became known as a jokester and that didn't change until his father Owlflight told him off about it, his father said he needed to change. When Palethorn found out that Honeyglare felt the same he grew angry at them, lashing out he argued that he shouldn't have to change and ended up creating a drift between him and his parents. Palethorn changed after that, he became reserved and more aggressive towards intruders when he found other cats on his clan's side of the border. A new warrior, an old friend, noticed his behavior and attempted to reconnect. A she-cat named Littlewing settled Palethorn down as they became closer once more. Palethorn eventually felt feelings for the feline and together they decided it was time to become mates.
Palethorn had disliked the idea of kits, and as he became older as a warrior Littlewing constantly brought up the idea of kits to him, eventually the brute caught on that she was expecting kits and had instantly changed his mind on the matter. Palethorn and Littlewing had their first litter and the two new parents were ecstatic to welcome two she-kits into the clan, Larkkit and Mousekit. Palethorn developed his fatherly trait at this point in his life and protected his two kits no matter what. When it was time for his kits to become apprentices he was happy but also very sad that they were leaving so soon. After a couple moons with Larkpaw and Mousepaw being apprentices, Littlewing announced to him that she as expecting again, it surprised Palethorn but he was very happy. Littlewing devised a plan to speak with Larkpaw and Mousepaw privately with Palethorn alongside her.
The day which the two parents were going to take their first litter out into the territory, Palethorn had noticed earlier on patrol that there was a scent of fox lingering near the border, the tom tried convincing Littlewing to try some other time but the feline would not change her mind. As the two apprentices arrived, Palethorn had been on high alert, no joking expression on his maw as he waited silently. However Littlewing could not even utter the news before a fox interrupted, after the incident of the fox attack Larkpaw and Littlewing were killed. Mousepaw was horrifyingly scarred while Palethorn lost his tail, it left the two cats broken. And deathly afraid of foxes. Mousepaw, before she died, was given her warrior name Mousegaze as a last gift before she passed away. Palethorn was left behind, and being abandoned made him change into a different cat.
Palethorn no longer held a jokester outlook on things, he became serious and hard working. The brute did nothing but sleep, eat, and warrior duties, as if on routine he would never socialize only do his duties. This good behavior was noticed by the leader at the time, of course the socializing error was not seen until the title was given to Palethorn, but he was named deputy after the retirement of the previous one. Palethorn took on the rank with pride but had no idea how to interact with his clanmates anymore after the loss of Littlewing, Larkpaw, and Mousegaze. Palethorn became much more responsible and eventually learned with the help given from his leader at the time and experienced warriors. Once Palethorn became deputy he had a sense of life again besides doing his warrior duties, he began socializing with the clan again just slowly.
Once Palethorn became Palestar, the brute was able to find his life meaningful again. Palestar found being a leader was natural and similar as being a deputy. The brute has not been leader for long but has not been just introduced.
